“11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. 13As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. 14 And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.” 2 Co. 9:11-14
Giving is a way to worship God and to participate in His work locally and globally. When we give God, looks at our attitude more than the amount. He desires that we give voluntarily and cheerfully (2 Co. 9:7). When we give God’s way, many blessings come to us, others, and God.
When we trust God and give, God enables us to give generously, v. 11. The needs of others are met and they will give thanks to God and give glory to Him, vs. 12-13. Lastly, those helped by our giving will pray for us with deep affection, v. 14. When we act as channels of blessing by giving, we are empowered to give and have people who care deeply about us praying for us. But most importantly, God is glorified.
Giving to God and His work can be a wonderful adventure. Obey God now and experience for yourself the joy that will come to you, others, and your Heavenly Father .
