Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ can testify of God’s faithfulness in their own lives, as well as in the lives of others. Throughout the Bible we observe that the Lord is trustworthy, a blessing to His people and a keeper of His promises. The following verses in the Psalms from the New American Standard Bible highlight several aspects of His faithfulness:
Psalm 33:4
For the word of the Lord is upright,
And all His work is done in faithfulness.
Psalm 36:5
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Psalm 86:15
But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
Psalm 89:8
O Lord God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty Lord?
Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
Psalm 119:90
Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations;
You established the earth, and it stands.
The refrain to the hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” expresses a worshipful attitude to the Lord for His many blessings that He so graciously provides:
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Reflection With Thanksgiving
As we commemorate the 11th Anniversary of Living Stones Fellowship Church, take a few moments to personally give thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness to this church and to you.
