Working Together

21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!”

And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”

22 On the contrary, those parts of the body

that seem to be weaker are indispensable…(I Cor. 12:21-22), NIV

Did you see the FOOD at the Church picnic on Saturday and the drinks! Wow, the food was better than it looks! Seeing the children playing with bubbles, people chatting with each other, young adults setting up the games, and playing some games as a team. The weather was perfect with clouds and a nice breeze that blew around us. The park was perfect.

A church picnic doesn’t happen by itself. It takes a hundred hands to put it together. I was so proud of our church family, seeing you bringing the food and drinks to the table, while others were setting up the sound system. Some of you made homemade cakes, salads, fruits, while others purchased food for us. Some of you took pictures so that it will be remembered. Seeing children, youth, young adults, married couples, and seniors was a blessing for me. There were
approximately 140 of us there that day.

My highlight was tossing bean bags, holding a child’s hand, sitting and talking with a few of you, and driving two seniors home. Listening to them chat in the back of the car to and from the picnice was worth a million dollars as they reconnected and remembered the old days.  They sat and chatted the whole time. It was a long day, but it was worth it.

Never underestimate your contribution or attendance in any event. Your presence and your sacrifice blessed us and enable everyone to enjoy a blessed day. You are indispensable to us. Join in our Church event including the upcoming Academy Hour that will start on October 2nd, 2022, Lord willing. It will be a blessing as well.
