At times, life can be difficult. Some days are better than others. The Bible provides us with comfort and insights for our lives both today and tomorrow. People can let us down, and some circumstances can be discouraging, but God’s Word gives us promises we can depend on. The follower of Christ’s hope is in the Lord, not in this world. And, Biblical hope is not wishful thinking, it’s confident expectation grounded in our faith in Him. May these Scriptures lift and encourage you.
22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22, 23).
‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10).
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary (Galatians 6:9).
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; (Hebrews 10:23).
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you
(1 Peter 5:10).
No matter whether you are having a good day or a not so good day, be encouraged by God’s Word and His love for you.
