“But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,…”
Philippians 3:13b
Labor Day marks the end of Summer for many of us. How was your Summer? How would you describe your Summer with one word?
For me, it was awesome! Didn’t have to drive the grandchildren to school, but I still had to walk the dog early each morning! Seeing one of my granddaughters graduating from high school. (Am I getting that old!) We went on 30-day trip to Singapore and Indonesia.
Forgetting this, Summer. I hope not as God bless us with wonderful conversations with Grab.Drivers and fellowshipping with other Christians. He allowed me to preach my first oversea sermon in Surabaya with the help of Audra as my translator. The Lord enabled Ramona to fulfill her wishes: receiving massages, going shopping, and enjoying the seafood.
Your vacation may not be like mine; the Apostle Paul encourages us not to live or dwell in the past. As Christians, we are to be forward looking. Paul believed that God has more cities and people for him to meet, more opportunities to preach the Gospel, and more opportunities to encourage believes in Christ Jesus.
There are still four months left in 2025. Four months to see what the Spirit of God can do in and through us. There are four months whereby you can join us our Wednesday Prayer Meeting, four months of growing in the Lord by attending our Academy Hour, and four months to invite family and friends to our special events as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Apostle Paul pressed onward to fulfill the calling of God in his life. May we press onward without coasting to the end of 2025. Let’s make a difference for the rest of 2025 which may spur us onward
to go on a mission trip, to serve the Lord in and through our church, to be more caring for our spouse and children. Let’s press onward for Jesus Christ to the glory of God. The year is not over yet!
