Living in the world, we need guidance. God offers His counsel to us in the Bible. The Bible provides wisdom for us to make wiser decisions.
God Offers to Guide Us
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you (Psalm 32:8).
God’s Counsel is Timeless
The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation (Psalm 33:11).
God’s Counsel Blesses
How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood (Psalm 40:4).
God’s Counsel is Useful For Today and Forever
With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory (Psalm 73:24).
God’s Counsel Lasts Forever
Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord will stand (Proverb 19:21).
Jesus, Wonderful Counselor
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
Wisdom does not originate from us, but rather it comes from God. Our most trustworthy source of wise counsel is found in the Old and New Testaments.
