“Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.” 1 Peter 1:3-4
As we enter into this Easter season, it is good for us to reflect on all that God has done for us out of His love and mercy for us. He has given us a “living hope” which is a bright and optimistic future. Jesus’ resurrection guarantees our own resurrection and that is something great for all of us who have Jesus Christ as our Savior count on. If Jesus was not resurrected there would be no evidence of a better tomorrow.
In these dark, dismal, and desperate times. Hope is becoming extinct, but our hope based on Jesus’ resurrection helps us face these times with the prospect of a heavenly inheritance that will never ever “perish, spoil, or fade”. No matter how bad things get here and now, we have a future that is bright up there and then.
What is your future looking like about now? Isn’t it time to let go of despair and embrace hope found in Christ?
You can if you acknowledge your need of a Savior from sin, believe Christ died for your sins on the cross and was resurrected, and confess him as your Savior.
