How Will They Hear About The Good News?

“For ‘whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:13-14, NASB

In this passage, the Apostle Paul lays forth the case for followers of Jesus Christ to share the good news of forgiveness of sin and eternal life because of Christ dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the grave. Simply put, people without Christ as their personal Savior can come to faith in Christ by trusting in Him alone, when someone tells them about Christ.

God’s plan involves someone going to someone else and sharing the good news. Whether the medium is a personal conversation, the printed page, or some visual medium, it still means someone needs to share the good news of Christ with another person.

Ways to share and proclaim Christ are growing each day. Maybe it starts with an invitation to catch up and visit one another over a cup of coffee, tea, or a meal together. Then, the relationship grows into a friendship which leads to deeper conversations about life situations. Hopefully, this interaction may lead to an opportunity to share out of your own experience or the sharing of a book or DVD about life and God. Be alert, aware, and creative about opportunities. You never know what and how God will use you.

Life is short, eternity is forever. Help people understand they can spend eternity with God, rather than without Him.
