Proverbs 20:24, NIV
As we begin yet another new year in 2025, we can find comfort and hope in one of the most comforting verses in God’s Word, Proverbs 20:24. To say the least, these are very uncertain and unstable times with all that is going on domestically and internationally.
All of us will be challenged by different situations and experiences that we may have never encountered before, or that we have not faced for a long time. The big question that seems to ring in our hearts and minds is “What should we do?”
This verse assures us that God is with us – guiding and directing us. But how can we secure God’s leading in our lives? It is when we acknowledge God over all actions and attitudes. Pr. 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” A strong companion verse is Ps. 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”
As we submit & yield in loving obedience to the Lord’s will and ways, as revealed to us in His Word, He will guide our every step.
Blessings and benefits, victory and triumph await us in the coming year if we follow His lead.
